One of the goals of the Phat Dad’s Club (PDC), apart from us becoming active, more social creatures and increasing a sense of well-being is that annual challenge events will present the opportunity of raising money for charity and those in need.


As discussed there are many challenges we have to look forward to for many years to come, such as:

  • The London ‘Ultra’ Duathlon – Worlds Largest Duathlon (run, bike, run) 109km
  • The 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross – Yorkshire Dales National Park, September
  • The London & New York Marathon – Worlds Biggest Marathons  
  • The Grim Challenge – Aldershot, Hampshire in winter
  • Tough Mudder 12 mile Special Forces obstacle course
  • Tough Guy (winter) and Nettle Warrior (summer)
  • Great North Run – Worlds Biggest Half Marathon
  • The Gauntlet ‘Half Iron Man’ Triathlon 112.9km
  • London to Brighton Bike Ride – 53 miles

Ultimate Challenges

  • The English Channel Crossing (swim or row)
  • London to Paris Bike Ride (300 miles to the Eiffel Tower)
  • John OGroats to Lands End (cycle length of Great Britain)
  • World Fitness Championship (WFC) – “Ultimate Extreme Sport”
  • Iron Man (2.4 mile swim , 112 mile bike ride & finishing with a full 26.2 mile marathon)
  • The Marathon Des Sables (6 day / 151 mile endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco)
