Exercise

All the best things in life are free and that includes our training and Phat Dad activity. Finances are often a hindrance to the common man’s life and play a restricting role in limiting opportunity such as a gym membership or a fitness trainer therefore our aim is to focus on those activities that are free. This avoids the ever present burden of responsibility and priority and allows us to enjoy relative peace of mind, freedom of physical spirit and a healthier lifestyle. Even one hour a week provides escapism and time that we have complete ownership of, releasing our hot red blooded nature whilst appreciating the beauty of the outdoors.

The Phat Dad’s Club (PDC) have focused primarily on 5 outdoor activities which relate to our dad’s previous experiences and knowledge of younger years: cycling; running; football; tennis and circuits which includes weights & aerobics. Every week, early on a Sunday morning to avoid disruption to family life, we participate in one of the above activities, alternating them depending on weather and changing each week the PD leader (whoever has the most previous experience in that particular activity leads/heads the activity).  It’s easier and more flexible to have a large number of dad’s but just one buddy is enough to kick-start and continue the movement.
